Purchase Cancellation Policy

As an online retailer, we're required by law to inform you of your cancellation rights when purchasing from AirPress Pro. This policy explains your legal right to cancel your order under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Your Right to Cancel

When you purchase AirPress Pro online, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days, no questions asked. This is known as your "cooling-off period" and is separate from our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee.

The 14-Day Cooling-Off Period Starts:

  • The day after you receive your AirPress Pro, or
  • The day after the last item is delivered (for multiple-item orders)

You don't need to give a reason for cancelling during this period.

How to Cancel Your Order

Before Your Order Has Been Dispatched:

Contact us immediately at info.velvetpress@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number
  • Subject line: "Cancel Order"

If we haven't dispatched your order yet, we'll cancel it and issue a full refund within 2-3 business days.

After Your Order Has Been Dispatched or Delivered:

Option 1: Email Notification (Recommended) Send an email to info.velvetpress@gmail.com stating:

  • Your order number
  • Your name and delivery address
  • Clear statement that you wish to cancel (e.g., "I wish to cancel my order")
  • Date of order and/or delivery

Option 2: Written Notice You may also send written notice of cancellation, though email is faster and recommended.

Option 3: Use Our Cancellation Form You may request a cancellation form by emailing info.velvetpress@gmail.com, though this is not mandatory. A simple email stating your wish to cancel is sufficient.

What Happens After You Cancel

Step 1: Notification Confirmation

We'll send you an email confirming receipt of your cancellation within 24 hours.

Step 2: Return the Product

You must return your AirPress Pro:

  • Within 14 days of notifying us of cancellation
  • In its original packaging with all accessories and documentation
  • In a condition that reflects reasonable examination (see below)

UK Returns: We'll provide a prepaid return label via email. Simply attach it to the package and drop it off at your nearest postal location.

International Returns: You're responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

Step 3: Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we'll refund:

  • Full product cost
  • Standard delivery charges (if you paid for them)

Refund Timing:

  • Within 14 days of receiving the returned item, or
  • Within 14 days of you providing proof of return (e.g., tracking number), whichever is sooner

Examining Your AirPress Pro

During the cooling-off period, you have the right to examine the product as you would in a physical store. This means:

You CAN:

  • Remove it from the packaging
  • Inspect all features and accessories
  • Test basic functions to ensure it works as described
  • Read the manual and try the product briefly

You CANNOT:

  • Use it extensively beyond necessary examination
  • Damage the product through excessive use
  • Remove or damage serial numbers or warranty seals
  • Return items that show signs of use beyond reasonable testing

Reasonable Examination: If the product shows signs of use beyond what's necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functionality, we may deduct an amount from your refund to reflect the diminished value.

Costs You're Responsible For

What We Pay:

  • Return shipping within the UK (via our prepaid label)
  • Full refund of product cost
  • Standard delivery charges you paid

What You Pay:

  • Return shipping for international orders (unless item is faulty)
  • Any premium delivery charges (e.g., if you chose express delivery over standard, we'll only refund the standard rate)
  • Cost of diminished value if product shows excessive use beyond reasonable examination

Refund Deductions

We may reduce your refund if:

  • The product is returned in a damaged condition due to handling beyond reasonable examination
  • Accessories, packaging, or documentation are missing
  • The product shows signs of use inconsistent with testing/examination
  • Serial numbers or warranty seals have been removed or tampered with

We'll notify you via email if any deductions apply before processing your refund.

When Cancellation Rights Don't Apply

In certain circumstances, your cancellation right may not apply:

Sealed Items:

If AirPress Pro is delivered in sealed packaging that's been opened, and the product cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons, cancellation rights may not apply. However, testing the product to verify it works as described is still permitted.

After the Cooling-Off Period:

Once the 14-day cooling-off period expires, statutory cancellation rights no longer apply. However, our voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee still covers you (see our Return and Refund Policy).

Faulty or Misdescribed Items:

If your AirPress Pro is faulty or doesn't match its description, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply instead, which provide stronger protections than the cancellation right.

Faulty or Damaged Products

If your AirPress Pro arrives faulty, damaged, or doesn't match its description:

  • Your statutory rights under Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply
  • We'll cover ALL return shipping costs
  • You're entitled to repair, replacement, or full refund at your choice
  • Contact info.velvetpress@gmail.com immediately with photos of the issue

This is separate from your cancellation right and provides additional protection.

Pre-Orders and Custom Orders

Standard Pre-Orders:

Full cancellation rights apply as described above, starting from the delivery date.

Customized Products:

If you've requested specific customization, cancellation rights may not apply for bespoke items. However, AirPress Pro is a standard product, so full cancellation rights apply to all purchases.

Cancellation During Delivery

If you wish to cancel while your order is in transit:

  1. Email info.velvetpress@gmail.com immediately
  2. Refuse delivery when the courier arrives, or
  3. Accept delivery and return using our standard cancellation process

Tip: Refusing delivery is the fastest way to get your refund, as the item returns directly to us.

Multiple Item Orders

If you ordered multiple items:

  • You can cancel individual items or the entire order
  • The 14-day period starts from delivery of the last item
  • Partial cancellations are accepted
  • Specify clearly which items you wish to cancel

Your Consumer Rights Summary

Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to:

  • Cancel within 14 days of receiving your order
